Built in the years 1898-1910 with stones acquired from the nearby Arroyo Seco stream bed, the home of the activist/writer is now the headquarters of the Historical Society of Southern California. Visit the house and surrounding water-wise gardens. Free to the public. Tours from noon-4 pm, Friday through Sunday.
